Blackbushe Airport – Thursday 5th October 2017

A small number of people from our group made their way to Blackbushe airport on the A30 just outside Camberley for 10am. 

As we were making our own way there we met in The Bushe café  before moving across to the Aerobility offices where we met the staff and were given an introduction to the rules of the airport and introduction to Aerobility.

Race Night - Thursday 21st September 2017

40 members and friends enjoyed a very pleasant evening at the Alton House Hotel. One or two lucky punters chose outsiders to win with very good odds - and thanks to Marion and Kevin for running the tote.

BBQ – Saturday 12th August 2017

The weather was very pleasant as people gathered at Lindford Village Hall for the annual MS Group Summer BBQ.

People mingled and chatted as the caterers and the entertainment band set themselves up outside.

Solent Trip - 12th July 2017

A group of us had an extremely enjoyable trip on the Alison MacGregor with perfect weather. We left Hythe and sailed up the Itchen River as far as it was possible to travel. The river part of the trip felt like a canal holiday as it was fairly narrow, green and very pretty indeed.

Memories of, and Tribute to, Thelma

Thelma joined us in the 1980’s – an abiding memory is when the man from EHDC came to talk to us about the Poll Tax! Room 7 at the Community Centre was crammed! Thelma, Joyce and Beryl served Tea and biscuits at the end of the talk and then cheerfully tackled a mountain of washing-up. We then moved to Orchard House – at least they had a bigger kitchen to work in.

Pig Racing - 3rd June 2017

Sat 3rd June numerous members of the branch and supporters gathered at Medstead Bowls club for a late afternoons pig racing. Most of us had no idea what to expect but when the master of ceremonies, Stan Whitcher, bought out six little pink furry toy pigs it caused a giggle.
